Benjamin Drozdovskii
Benjamin Drozdovskii is a professional musician and multi-instrumentalist – a pianist, violinist, piano accordionist, balalaika player, and composer. He has an Associate of Music Australia in violin, a Bachelor of Music Performance in Classical Piano, and a Graduate Certificate in Composition, the latter two being attained at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Brisbane.
For many years, Benjamin has been a Brisbane-based freelance pianist and violinist, performing locally for weddings and events at venues such as Customs House, Sirromet Winery, Victoria Park Golf Complex, Emporium and Sofitel Hotels, Queensland Performing Arts Centre, Eagle Farm Racecourse, among others. Benjamin is a professional accompanist, and has accompanied a wide range of instruments, including voice, and acquired a wealth of experience from accompanying in concerts, exams, and various other events. He is resident accompanist for three community choirs: Sing Australia (Carina), The Sound Collective, and the Wynnum Choral Society, and performs with them regularly throughout the year. At The Springfield Anglican College, Benjamin is accompanist for the Junior Choir, and is often called upon to accompany a number of their other student ensembles for concerts and eisteddfods, as well as individual student music assessments. He is leader and arranger of the string quartet Strings Actually, and guides the Men In Jazz on piano through the laid-back tunes of the jazz era. |
